Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our Special Guest stamper Allison Okamitsu. This month we are excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) a project that has been created by Allison.
Here’s my card which cases some of Allison’s techniques and hopefully something of Allison’s style as well!
The intention was to create a fairly clean card with a touch of bling.
Here’s the card that I cased Allison’s technique’s from and a link to the video.
So you’re probably thinking where’s the link between the two….well, in the video Allison demonstrates how to blend colours on larger or more solid stamps without creating visible transitions between colours. Allison recommends using the piercing mat under the card to achieve a crisp image transfer and using a sponge to blend colours directly onto the stamp. This prevents colour contamination of your markers and stamp pads as well.
For my card, I used stamps from the Balloon builders stamp set and the sentiment and banner are from You’re So Lovely. On a white base, I added two card layers, Blushing Bride and Rose Red. The balloons are a blend of blushing bride and Rose Red, inked up first in Blushing Bride and then sponged with Rose Red. The embellishments are from the gorgeous Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit (bow, pearls and sequins) to add some (subtle) bling-a feature of many of Allison’s projects !

Great card, Lisa! I love the monochromatic appeal of your card. The string of pearls is really wonderful!
So happy you posted the video with it…I’m only a year into stamping so it was helpful. I love your card and those pearls have just been doing nothing in my to do box. Such talent!
Hello Lisa! Great job with the two tone stamping! Your balloons look great!
