This week the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop goes International with the theme of “thank you”. We’ve been traveling and this card is destined for a friend who looked after our dogs and gave them a home from home!

This card combines two of my favourite stamp sets-Botanical Blooms and Petite Petals. After stamping the petites petals I covered these with glue and allowed to dry overnight before sponging the very vanilla cardstock around the edges and between the flowers with Sahara Sand. This technique was recently highlighted by a UK demonstrator but I’ve misplaced the name-sorry! Stamps for the Botanical Blooms stamp set were randomly stamped and some gold flowers using the matching die set added. Some splats (flicked from the aqua painter) and gold baker’s twine completed the look. This is my first mixed media/grunge card and I’m really pleased with the result!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today and please check out the blog and the opportunity to vote for you favourites here !
