Welcome! This week we are hopping with the super talented Shannon Lane. Shannon amongst many achievements, is a member of the Artisan design team and her personal blog, Crush on Colour is a source of great ideas for the experienced and beginner stamper alike. I’ve chosen to CaSE (Copy and Selectively Edit) Shannon’s concept of the ‘Stepped Up’ effect. With these cards Shannon shows how you can make a simple card in minutes if you’re short on time or starting out and don’t have many materials. You can then take the same card idea and add a little more, and then more to create a ‘fancy’ card. What a great idea to show case how one stamp set can be used in a number of different ways.
I’ve chosen the Party Animal DSP and for the ‘fancy’ card the Window Box Thinlets Dies. The first card, is a simple blast of colour and can be made up in minutes-also, if you’re starting out you don’t need a big shot or even any stamps, just paper, some ribbon and glue!
The second card again features the Party Animal DSP but this time also some die cut outs and a stamped image. I’ve used the Stitched Framelits dies and the stamped image is from the Balloon Builders stamp set.
Thanks for joining me today. Please check out the links for my tutorial bundle for making cards using the Window Box Thinlets Dies (in the tutorials section above) and also the Crazy Crafters tutorial for 21 different projects using current Stampin’ Up products.
Be sure to check out everyone’s posts for their fab projects! Lisa x
