Welcome to this month’s Paper Adventures team blog hop using the theme of water to inspire our creations! This month we have a special guest joining the hop, the talented Leonie Schroder from Stamp A Latte. Thanks for joining us Leonie!

I’m looking forward to seeing all of the creations and you can ‘hop’ from one post to the next using the buttons at the bottom of each post-enjoy!

For this card I wanted to use a stamp from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set that I have to admit I’ve not used before and make this the central theme for the water. I’ve used watercolour paper to create the water and sky effect using an aquapainter, keeping it simple, and palm fronds to the side. If I had Wink of Stella I would have added some to the water to create a shimmer-this is on my next order! This card celebrates a retirement but could be used to congratulate someone going on a well earned trip or a sea change in life! The sentiments are mounted on a circle of vellum die cut with the Stitched Shape Framelits.

Don’t forget the great deals on offer through Sale-A Bration, with $315 of product for $169 or a free product with every $90 order placed. It’s a great time to stock up on your craft and stamping supplies!

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for stopping by-Lisa x

  1. Oh! This is perfect Lisa – such a clever way to use the stamps from the Fabulous Flamingo set with not a pink flamingo in sight!!! Love the colouring – just beautiful. Great to have you here for your first (of many) team blog hop! Kelly x

  3. So great to have you on the team and joining in your first hop with us. Welcome!! And what a stunning first card. Such a beautiful background and I love how your choice of sentiment doesn’t distract or cover up too much of that. Beautiful!!
