Welcome to this social stamping blog hop created by my wonderful up-line Kelly Kent. Today is ANZAC day and I acknowledge and thank all of the service men and women who have served in all wars, conflicts and peace keeping missions. Your sacrifice has and continues to be immense. With the theme of war and peace, I took this LITerally and looked up some of my favourite bits in the tome that is Tolstoy’s War and Peace. Only joking, I haven’t read it but did find some quotes that I thought were fitting for today.

“Everything I know, I know because of love.” And “There is no greatness where there is not simplicity, goodness, and truth.”

These quotes instantly made me think of the Beautiful Moments stamp set. The image of the children on the beach, the serene scene in the lavender field and the mother and daughter image epitomise love, simplicity, goodness and truth for me 🙂 This is the first time I’ve used this stamp set and I really enjoyed it. The sentiments are from Honey Bee, Timeless Tulips and Heartfelt.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Elizabeth Gross at Lillybet’s papers has created and enjoy hopping around the rest of the group’s creations. If you lose the link up you can use the main link back to Kelly’s post for a list of all participants HERE

Let’s stay connected-thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of the hop! Lisa x

Beautiful cards. This really is a beautiful stamp set and you have coloured the images beautifully and your message comes across nicely.

  2. Your colouring is amazing Lisa! I haven’t read war & peace. I think I’ll stick to the crafting version! Kelly x

  3. I am impressed Lisa that you can quote from War & Peace, I couldn’t. The message from your card is Peace, we all need a bit of that at the moment x

  4. Such beautiful cards, but what powerful quotes- simplicity, goodness and truth being the source of greatness – I love that. And I love how that inspired you to create these gorgeous paintings. Thankyou for making me look at things this way.
