Welcome to this month’s Paper Adventures blog hop where we are saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Kelly! We all love being part of the Paper Adventures team led by Kelly and we have a lot of fun!

Welcome also to Tanya Rees in Bendigo who is joining us this month 🙂

This month our challenge is to CASE one of Kelly’s card and it’s been no hardship at all going through Kelly’s back catalogue and finding many awesome creations. In fact I have gone back to 2017.

Kelly created this card with a teepee stamp and this was the perfect link to a fancy fold design I was inspired by in the last Social Stamping blog by Andrea Sargent.

As with many fancy fold designs you get maximum impact for a fairly simple design. I love the Sailing Home bundle and I’m delighted it is carrying over in the 2020/2021 annual catalogue. I wanted to be able to fold down the card to fit into an envelope for posting and I didn’t have a magnet so I’ve used one of the embellishments, an anchor and two brads that allows the anchor to swing round and secure the card in place when it’s on display and to fold down when needed. I’m looking forward to seeing what the team have made to celebrate Kelly’s birthday and next up we have my friend and talented stamper Mandy Depiazzi.

Have a great weekend and keep crafting on.

  1. That’s one of my favourite ever Kelly cards – great choice to CASE. And I love where you went with it! Such an unusual fold, it would be quite the surprise to pull that out of a boring old rectangular envelope. THe use of the anchor embellishment to secure the card is so clever. Awesome project!

  2. As a lover of fancy fold cards I am so impressed with your interpretation of Kelly’s teepee card, great job Lisa x

  3. What a brilliant segue Lisa for your fantastic card. I love your version of the Tee Pee card – this is a design I need to try, so it will be me CASEing you next! Kelly x
