Hello, I’ve been looking forward to trying out the butterfly gala stampset-and this week’s challenge gave me the perfect excuse!
The brief is to CASE a card from the sale-a-bration catalogue-lots of butterflies featured in this with the gorgeous free paper you choose with any order of $90 or more during sale-a-bration!
This card uses a watercolour technique and a base of Mango Melody. The ink colours are Mango Melody and Flirty Flamingo.
The new ink pads are much more difficult to squeeze (to transfer ink to the lid for water colouring) and I’ve found picking up ink on an acrylic block and taking the ink from there with the aquapainter works brilliantly. The butterflies are white embossed and the sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. The second card was very difficult to photograph and so much nicer in real life! This is a more subtle card and I’ve used Wink of Stella to highlight the butterflies. I love the combination of the greens and the more abstract watercolour look. Thanks for stopping by!
