Welcome to this month’s Paper Adventures blog hop. Thank you to Tina Gillespie for hopping with us this month! This month we are inspired by the letter “S” for September. September is a wonderful month in Western Australia. It’s Spring and we have the most amazing show of wild flowers at the moment. In this hop I wanted to showcase a 3D/fancy fold technique that looks stunning but is also super easy to make called the Star effect card
Cut a piece of card stock to 6” wide and 5” high. Score down the middle at 3” and make two cuts to create two triangle pieces at the side (see photo). Cut the same sizes of DSP and trim a little if you want to create a border. I’ve used the fun dinosaur DSP for this card and cut out two of the larger dinosaur’s from the DSP. To create the star effect, position the two triangles so that they overlap (see below). Cut a notch on each side of the double triangle at 1.5” so that the front piece can be added and sit in place. This piece can be easily removed and all fit into a standard envelope for posting-bonus!
