Social Stamping-Out of the Box

Welcome to this week’s social stamping blog hop created and run by Kelly Kent to help keep us connected through craft. As soon as I saw the title for this blog hop I knew what I wanted to make, it’s been on my “to make” list for years!

I’ve free-styled with the card and belly band though as I wanted to try out more dream catcher designs with the gold hoops. I’ve used Magenta Madness and Bumble Bee card stock and painted the stripes on white card stock for the front. The hearts are all from the HeartFelt stamp set. I’ve added a little (dodgy filming angle!) video to show the jumping box action. Let’s see what Julia has created for this blog hop using the next button below and if you lose the link up you can find the full list here.

Thanks for visiting, Lisa 🙂

Back in 2015, I was given a card at an OnStage event (no name I’m afraid) that blew me away. It was a jumping box card and it took me by surprise, I had no idea we could make such a fun card AND that someone had made LOTS of these as card swaps for onstage-that’s dedication! Fast forward 5 years (seriously) and I finally make one, totally inspired by the name of this blog hop! I’ve followed a tutorial by Melissa Tennison. Melissa’s post contains a template and a video on how to make the jumping box.

  1. Lisa, I love your card and jumping box. I think I should say “SNAP” or just “Great minds think alike”. I too thought of a cube jumping out of a box. Your bright colours and dream catcher is happy. You are amazing to add a video of the cube jumping out. I thought about doing something like that but didn’t know where to start. Very impressive. xxx

    1. Love it Lisa, a bright, fun card that is definitely “out if the box” and thanks for the link to the instructions xx

Love the bright colours and the jumping box out of the card is sure to surprise anyone. Great job.

  3. Amazing Lisa! I love how bright this is – perfect for such a fun style of card! Here’s hoping we’ll all be able to attend a SU event again soon! Kelly x

  4. Oh this is so much fun!! What an awesome surprise. So glad you finally had the chance to make one. I’m pretty sure there are things on my craft to do list that have been there for more than five years!!
